Job Description
Primary Responsibilities ·
--Lead the construction design process; initiate and present reviews of designs·
--Establish a risk management plan, monitor and control risks·
--Hire, train, develop and supervise the construction team through regular hands-on, on-site supervision·
--Drive team activity and delegate and distribute workload to align activity with business objectives·
--Prepare construction schedules for project site; set milestones and schedules and monitor progress in meeting them· --Implement and execute quality control programs·
--Mentor and manage the team to facilitate their professional development·
Oversee and ensure construction safety during all construction phases·
Conduct training and performance evaluations for the project team·
Ensure budgetary and scheduling targets are met·
Review detailed Construction Work to ensure completeness of information and adequate integration with engineering, procurement and construction
Take corrective action for all identified deficiencies to eliminate any potential negative impacts on project schedule and budget · Oversee and assess all contractors’ work and ensure that all phases of the project are being carried out according to the construction plans and schedules·
Participate actively in meetings with the construction team, funder and other contractors·
Prepare reports as needed·
Manage project stakeholders·
Report to the Managing Director daily on project progress
Job Specification
Required Skills·
--A minimum 5 to 10 years of experience Project Management in road/bridge construction projects over USD 50 million·
--A university degree in Civil Engineering·
--Knowledge of operating Auto CAD and Sub software·
--High level of problem solving and leadership skills·
--Familiarity with or willingness to learn all standards for governmental and non-governmental road and bridge construction projects, as well as international codes and requirements·
--Excellent attitude to represent Barak Durani Group·
--Confidence and ability to work independently·
--Ability to work under pressure·
--Ability to balance priorities and coordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines·
--Excellent oral and written communication skills·
--Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills
