Job Description
Provide Engineering services to the RCIED contract.
Possible work locations are Kabul and/or Kandahar, Afghanistan. Secret clearance required.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Coordination with the manufacturer’s back-office engineering staff
Deal with daily automotive and other technical challenges thwarting installation efforts
Field engineering and installation of Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) devices for the Electronic Counter Parts (ECP)
Interface with local Base Support Group and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Vehicle Management personnel to ensure steady stream of vehicles requiring installs
Oversee installation in vehicles and at Entry Control Points of Selex-Elsag Guardian H3 Electronic Counter Measures against Remotely Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices
Other Tasks as required
Requirements
3 years’ experience with military organizations and security protocols is required (understanding of the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
2 years specific experience designing or installing Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) against RCIED
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with design and installation of system at entry control points (gates) to military installations Military experience as Senior NCO or Officer (up to O-5)
Specific experience with radio frequency jamming technologies
Special Position Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge of radio frequency jamming technologies
